Today we are excited to share that we have appointed an exciting emerging talent in Clinical Research Associate, Sian Gilmour.

Sian Gilmour is an impressive young professional who has quickly advanced her career in the Clinical Research and Pharmaceutical industry.

Completing a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences at La Trobe with a distinction grade level, Sian was inspired to explore human clinical studies thanks to her mother who works as a study coordinator at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

In 2019, she secured her first role at global CRA, PPD, as a Project Assistant, and was soon promoted to Remote Site Monitor Level 1 in 2020. In 2021, she was again promoted to Remote Site Manager Level 2, an experience that exposed her to trials from all different indications including oncology, neuroscience, cardiovascular and general medicine, from startup, through to recruitment and maintenance phase.

While in training to become a CRA, Sian was introduced to Accelagen and we knew immediately that she was a great fit for our growing local business. A hard-working and collaborative team player, her values reflect our own.

Sian is now a CRA Level 2 overseeing on-site monitoring for Phase 1 trials in different therapeutic areas, including rare diseases. Her role includes everything from assisting sites, to working directly with the clients, undertaking SOP management, creating and editing trial documents, and more. Her work ethic, ambition, enthusiasm, and team spirit are an asset to our business.
