The Accelagen family is growing…again!

Today we are thrilled to announce that Amritha Vangur has rejoined our team as Clinical Research Associate.

Amritha first worked at Accelagen in 2019. The company was in its infancy at the time, with a small, tight-knit team. Shortly after joining, Amritha travelled overseas and due to the pandemic and closing borders, her return to Australia did not happen until February 2022. Needless to say, we’ve welcomed her back today with open arms!

Amritha is a skilled clinical research professional with many years’ experience working across major global clinical projects. She started her career in research after completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at Otago University in New Zealand, followed by a Masters degree majoring in Anatomy. After a short stint practicing animal research, Amritha moved into human clinical research at Nucleus Network in Melbourne, scaling the ranks across roles and working in collaboration with large multinational CROs and biotechnology firms.

Amritha first came on board at Accelagen because she was eager to experience things from the CRO side. As a CRA, the focus of her role is to undertake visits (site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out), manage the progress of assigned studies, create and maintain appropriate documentation, establish and maintain regular lines of communication and site management – for a variety of protocols, sites and therapeutic areas. Having worked on several Phase 1 studies in an extremely fast paced environment, this experience provides Amritha with a deeper perspective into how studies are conducted at site level. Her eagerness to learn and collaborate with various departments is an asset to our people-first culture.

When Amritha returned to Australia, one of her main priorities was having flexibility to balance work while raising her young son. As a business that values the wellbeing of our team, Amritha now enjoys full flexibility to operate across home or office, and client sites, and to manage her time.
